Queen of the Sciences
About Us
Welcome to the Queen of the Sciences podcast!
"Queen of the Sciences" was the honorific awarded to the discipline of theology in the Middle Ages, as the summation of all human knowledge. If you listen to the first episode, you'll find that we take a rather more modest approach.
As for who we are...
One of us is Paul R. Hinlicky, theologian, pastor, prolific writer, and professor at Roanoke College in southwestern Virginia.
The other of us is Sarah Hinlicky Wilson, theology, pastor, prolific writer, and one of the ministry team at Tokyo Lutheran Church.
And it just so happens that we're related. It is, of course, sheer coincidence that we're both theologians.
In these episodes we talk about all kinds of topics pertaining to the Christian faith, from in-depth explorations of individual books of the Bible to classic doctrinal topics, from patristic to medieval to modern theologians, from practical questions to wildly speculative ones. You're welcome to eavesdrop on a daughter and her dad talking over the things that matter the most to them.
